The Beginning of a New Season Starts Tomorrow!

The Olathe North JV Football team finished the 2011 season in near perfection, defeating Lawrence Free State High School 28-6. This win ends what is possibly the best JV season ever with a 7-1 record. The varsity on the other hand, was cursed with a 4-game losing streak that kept them out of the playoffs. It now falls on the JV team to carry this amazing record over into next year and the best way to start that is with conditioning.
As for next year's JV squad, things will not get any easier for the Sophomore squad, who ended the season with a 4-5 record. Fortunately, they have a very talented freshman team (ended with a 7-2 record) to give them a hand. After playing on both the Sophomore and JV teams, I feel that the only thing the Sophomore squad needs to do is win games at other schools in order to bestow confidence later in the season (the Sophomores went 3-0 in home games, but 1-5 in away games). The only thing left to do now is work hard in the weight room and prepare for next year.
